Where to go, what to do.
First of all, within easy walking distance

Sennen beach from Escalls Carn
Ivy Cottage is just a few minutes walk from the famous Lands End.
www.landsend-landmark.co.uk.
There are several clean, sandy beaches within easy walking distance.
Footpaths down to Sennen harbour and to Whitesand and Gwenver beaches.
There are surfing schools in Sennen.
You can watch the local rowing team doing their gig racing practise , a tough local sport. A gig is a long, narrow rowing boat.
An exciting spectacle is the launching of the Sennen Cove lifeboat, a very important service in this area.
Path to Sennen Cove.
Ivy Cottage is in the centre of Sennen village and close to the church of St Sennen, and a couple of minutes walk from the First and Last Pub.

This, as the name suggests, is the first and last pub in the country, depending if you travel east or west. Of course, it's also a restaurant with delicious local sea food available.
Sennen also has a post office, small supermarket, paper shop, etc.
Go the Farmer's market on Tuesday mornings in the Community Centre behind the school.
If you want to enjoy a longer walk, thirty minutes will take you to the lovely, secluded Nanjizal beach.
Walking to Nanjizal Beach.

At Chapel Carn Brea you will have panoramic views of the whole peninsula, but all around Sennen are walks along the cliffs, or field paths that take you to the ancient sites of neolithic stone circles, burial chambers, quoits etc.
